ECHO,
a multidisciplinary project that examines the creative dialogue between
dance and video, explores folk movement vocabulary in an urban context.
In keeping with folk tradition, a crossroads becomes a symbolic space through
which the dancers have a physical dialogue, questioning the origin of the
echo. For one-night only traditional Irish dance was transported from the
South West coast of Ireland to Location One's Gallery space in New York
City. Impromptu street performances and filming took place in NYC at undisclosed
locations leading up to the event.
